About Iyanla

Denver-based recording artist Iyanla organically fuses the textures of RnB, neo-soul, poetry, and jazz to create her contemporary, wholesome sound. Iyanla approaches music as a means of creating space for healing, interactive sound-making, and reinvigorating a kind of love that brings anybody together into the community. Growing up as the youngest of six, she learned from a family of creatives which grounds her pursuit of professional artistry. Even as a passionate five-year-old holding talent shows in the living room, music for Iyanla was always about connection, joy, and generating life in space. The first song she independently wrote at 12 years old set her off on a journey to developing her craft as a young pianist, singer, songwriter, and music educator. Now at 20 years old, Iyanla has released multiple singles and a five-song EP, and is currently preparing an album among other new material for release.
